hk

i still consider hk as my most fav country.

i got back to brunei last week & made use of the 1 week break, as part of mom's plan, to go hk with sis. sis is going to work soon as for my part-time rotation in brunei for surge so i'll see her for 2 months. to get 2gether after 3 years for a holiday is not an easy opportunity, viz the whole family of 4 to gather during times like this is a rare occasion.

i've been to hk 3 times now. the main slant is always to appreciate the way of life of the people there & see their culture in the streets or teahouse. as you embark onto a journey by foot frm your hotel, u'd realise wherever you go, it'd be packed & loud. this is certainly so in the city centre, where you cannot escape tradition of the market stalls, the ragged & old apartments, trams & double-deckers, honking & yelling, beggars, fresh food & a very competitive lifestyle.

aside frm the local curiosity, there are major landmarks of visits by foreign tourists. we spent 4 nites with a 1 daytrip visit to macau wch needed a cruise. for anyone of interest, i'd just sum the places you shud go or things to do when you come here.

1st day
disneyland hollywood hotel check-in. spend the nite for a buffet for ard 40$, it's worth it. disneyland wud take 1 whole day, experience the music & fantasy- stay till 3pm for the parade. visit the other hotel disneyland hotel- you'll be shock with its posh.

2nd day
check-in causeway bay (tong lou wan) chartered house. embark onto the streets. try the fishball noodle soup & milk tea. go to times square mall for international shops & city super for variety of food products. mermaid bakery shop to try its milk bread. maxim rest. is popular for its price & taste, hui lau shan dessert house is a must-go for its delicacy.

3rd day
embark onto macau by cruise. do take anti-nausea pill b4 the ride. in macau, take a free-ride to venetian hotel. this is one massive destination not to be missed. venetian is a massive hotel, casino & shopping centre build within a replica of venice. after tt, take a taxi ride to old macau & visit the old chinahouses and shops. buy some kou kei eat products & visit the famous christian historical monument.

4th day
take mtr to go to central & mongkok. in central, ask directions to go to the most famous maxim dimsum palace in city hall. take a ride to mongkok just for a traditional hk experience. visit the ladies street (loi yan kai) for cheap goods & go to kam wah teahouse for a taste of its polo bun & milk tea. very delicious for a hot bun as famous for hk stars to visit this small teahouse.

5th day
never forget to take a photo with your fav hk star b4 u leave :)

hk is a typical place to enjoy shopping, an active culture & reminisce your favourite reasons why you like hk. ppl ask why i adore hk. i think because the place gives me vital memories than anywhere else- a deep inspiration on my 1st trip, a female star (gigi) & a friend.
on air- cheer's new album 'immortal'. next post- 306 (my 24th).
